Disappointed with Lack of Guidance and Support
After being a loyal State Farm customer for nearly 30 years, I'm deeply disappointed with the service I received during my recent move to South Carolina. Here are the main issues I encountered:
1- Lack of information: When I changed my address, I was not informed about the requirements to transfer my policy to South Carolina. This led to me unknowingly breaking the law and paying higher Florida premiums unnecessarily.
2- Poor communication: The agent failed to provide clear guidance on how to handle insurance matters when moving between states.
3- Insufficient assistance: When I needed help providing proof of insurance to the South Carolina DMV, the agent was unable to offer meaningful support or alternatives.
4-Lack of proactive customer service: As a long-term customer, I expected more personalized attention and proactive advice to prevent these issues.
While I understand that agents may have limitations, better communication and a more customer-focused approach could have prevented these problems.
